Melissa's Story
melissaNew body electric pain management

Melissa Lynch is the owner of Body Electric Rejuvenation Center.  Melissa has been a registered nurse for 14 years and has worked in the health and fitness industry for over 20 years.  She received a diploma of nursing from Presbyterian School of Nursing of Charlotte, a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Gardner Webb University, and a Master’s of Business Administration from Devry University.  Melissa received her personal training education from the National Personal Training Institute in Orlando, Florida.

Melissa led the operations as a registered nurse of critical care, integrative medicine, medical surgical and geriatric units in a variety of settings.  Her passion for health and wellness has constantly kept her active and working in the health and fitness industry, while also working as a registered nurse. Melissa has been able to integrate her passion for fitness and wellness in whatever setting or capacity she has worked in.

In 2003, Melissa suffered a fracture to a pelvis, which was diagnosed at the time of occurrence as a pulled muscle.  She was instructed to continue to work, walk, stretch and take ibuprofen.  Her pain began to move from her pelvis to her back and neck.  She returned to the doctor and was sent to physical therapy.  In therapy she was instructed to stretch the tight pelvic muscles. Her pain became so intolerable that she felt like her airway was closing off due to the muscles in her neck in spasm from supporting a broken pelvis. She returned back to the doctor due to the fact she thought she had something terminal.  At that time, a bone scan was performed and the fractured pelvis was seen.  She was then taken off of her feet, after walking on the fractured pelvis for one month.  Her physical body began to fall apart.  She was in chronic pain from herniated discs in her back and compensation patterns she had developed while walking on a fractured bone.

During the time she was off her feet with the broken pelvis, she began investigating and researching integrative approaches to health and healing. After her pelvis had healed, she found herself in chronic pain and dealing with gastrointestinal and hormonal challenges.  She visited tons of physicians both in mainstream and integrative medicine.  She eventually had back surgery which provided little relief from pain.

Melissa was determined to get out of pain.  She continued to read and seek remedies to improve her health.  She began to detoxify her body from the inside out.  During this time, Melissa was introduced to electrical soft tissue therapy for her back.  Slowly, but surely, her pain symptoms began to improve. Today she feels and performs better athletically than she did when she was 16 years old.  The hormonal challenges she had are gone which is evident by the vibrant little boy she had in 2007.  The pain and stiffness she used to have every morning when she woke up is gone and she is truly healthy.

Philippians 3:13-14 – King James Version (KJV)

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
